In eighth grade Gretchen Severin decided she wanted to be a lawyer.  Public speaking, words, logic and debate were her strengths and interests back then, as they are today.  Gretchen was active in many school organizations, as well as her church and had a true desire to be service and leadership oriented in her personal life and in her professional career.  All choices and decisions were made with law school being Gretchen’s next destination.  Gretchen was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Concordia College in 1990 and a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School in 1993.   

As a partner at Munstenteiger & Severin, P.A., Gretchen is a dynamic attorney who handles the majority of the family law cases.  Gretchen’s tenure as a family law clerk in Anoka County taught her the ins and outs of court procedure and was the foundation for her long-standing relationships within the legal and judicial community.

 Given the very nature of family law, Ms. Severin is well versed in conflict resolution and the art of negotiating.  Gretchen understands all aspects of domestic disputes and will vigorously represent her clients to ensure the best possible outcome.  Gretchen has had additional training in domestic violence issues - let her handle the stress for you.  She is a quick and creative thinker, which is invaluable in any legal proceeding.
